Patient Protocols
Always inform the physician of all medications including antibiotics, high blood pressure medication, Coumadin, Plavix, or other blood thinners as well as your medical history and ANY CHANGES to your medical history.
Do not use Botox/Dermal Fillers/Sculptra if you are pregnant/breastfeeding or could be pregnant.
It is NOT advisable to have injections less than 2 weeks before a big event.
Makeup should be avoided the day of the procedure.
Tylenol can be taken for tenderness after any of the procedures.
Lolien Filler Protocol
No filler 2 weeks within covid vaccine injection ( before or after)
No flight for 48 hours after procedure
Confirm any cold sore history and a valtrex script will be sent in for prophylaxis on the day of your appointment
Avoid alcohol and NSAIDS (anti-inflammatory medications Advil, Aleve, ibuprofen etc. ) 72 hours prior to procedure including certain supplements that can thin the blood ie garlic, turmeric, vitamin e, fish oil
If you are at high risk for bruising or want to prevent it you can purchase Arnica tablets and start the day prior to procedure. Topical Arnica cream can be applied after the procedure
For Filler especially Lip Filler no dental procedure 7-10 days prior to procedure and 7 days after the procedure
You can ice the area after the procedure to decrease swelling
Stay well hydrated before and after filler treatment. Dermal filler attracts and binds to water to add volume to the skin
For Lip Filler: Avoid kissing, puckering, using a straw for 24 hours. This can displace the filler material. To decrease swelling you can take an antihistamine i.e. Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec etc. for the next few days
**CALL THE OFFICE IMMEDIATELY TO REPORT ANY SEVERE PAIN, REDNESS, BLISTERS, ITCHING, SKIN COLOR CHANGE OR SKIN BLANCHING (Pale skin color indicating lack of blood flow)**
Lolien Botox Protocol
- Your Botox Appt should be Every 3-4 months, if you schedule sooner there is chance of developing resistance
- No facials, facial massages or microblading scheduled for 2 weeks after injections
- Do not massage, rub or apply pressure to the treated area for 12 hours after treatment
- No strenuous exercise/jumping day of procedure
- No laying down for 2 hours after procedure
- Avoid exposure to extreme heat for 24 hours
- Can take zinc supplement to increase duration of botox
- Touch up might be necessary until Dr Khiani learns your individual facial anatomy, first touch up is free, afterwards there is a charge
- If it’s your first time a headache and/or numbness tingling is normal, will subside, Okay to take Tylenol
- Do not ice the areas of injections

Lolien Sculptra Facial Protocol
Before the procedure Dr Khiani requires a Facial consultation with her to see if you are an appropriate candidate

Swelling, redness, bruising are common after the procedure along with tenderness especially in the jaw and temple areas. Avoid hard food the first day and take Tylenol as needed
If you are prone to under eye swelling this can be more pronounced after the procedure but will subside in a few days
Sculptra After Treatment Massage
Use the rule of 5. Massage for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days: This is necessary to distribute the product evenly (to prevent nodule formation) and to increase the effectiveness of the product
